Volant Solutions, Inc. acquired by TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company
Fort Worth, TX (May 10, 2012) – Northern Edge is pleased to announce the acquisition of Volant Solutions, Inc., a software development and consulting firm focused on the upstream Exploration and Production (E&P) industry, to TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company. Northern Edge served as the exclusive advisor to Volant Solutions, Inc. The transaction was led by Justin Fink, a Senior Vice President in the Fort Worth office.
Volant addresses the challenges of managing ever increasing quantities of geotechnical data. Its integration of internal and external data sources with geoscience applications used by the industry enables scientists and engineers to reduce interpretation cycle time and increase efficiency. EnerConnect™ employs a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to deliver a modular software platform composed of application adapters, transformation services and a business workflow engine that creates a robust integration environment targeted at the Upstream Energy market.
