Northern Edge Advisors (Northern Edge) is pleased to announce the recent sale of Compass Technical Services, Inc., to Unique Industrial Product Company, L.P.

Compass Technical Services, Inc. (“Compass” or the “Company”) is a leading Texas-based provider of custom metal components and assembly needs, catering to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and contract manufacturers (CMs). The Company offers a broad range of custom engineered products and leverages its in-depth expertise of various metal working processes including castings, forgings, stampings, powder metal, and machining. Beyond metal working, the Company’s core competencies include application engineering, value engineering, and supply chain and materials planning support.

Compass maintains longstanding and direct relationships with its OEM and contract manufacturing customers across multiple industries. The Company’s highly skilled team has decades of engineering and manufacturing experience, possessing strong, long-term, performance-based relationships with qualified suppliers.

The Company has built a valuable brand and strong reputation to consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements, holding an ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification. Compass’ goal is to provide total customer satisfaction by providing custom engineered products with a global cost advantage.

Unique Industrial Product Company, L.P. is located in the heart of the industrial sector of Sugar Land, Texas and was founded in 1996 by a solid team of OEM and international business industry experts. Unique is family owned and operated. They have developed and shipped more than 10,000 different products from a 275,000 square foot warehouse to a wide range of companies and industries.

Northern Edge Advisors served as the exclusive financial advisor to Compass Technical Services, Inc.

Unique was attracted to Compass for several reasons, including its geographic presence in Dallas (which was close to many of Unique’s customers), strong engineering capabilities, established sourcing connections in China and India, and cross-selling opportunities.
