Northern Edge Advisors Represents Amran and Narayan in $462 million sale to Standex

New York, November 4, 2024 (BUSINESS WIRE) – Northern Edge Advisors served as the exclusive financial advisor to privately-held US-based Amran Instrument Transformers and India-based Narayan Powertech Pvt. Ltd. (“Amran/Narayan Group”) in the sale to Standex International Corporation (NYSE: SXI).

Structured as the simultaneous sale of two separate companies, the acquisitions are the largest in Standex’s history, with a combined enterprise value of approximately $462 million consisting of both cash and stock consideration.  The international nature of the transactions introduced myriad technical challenges due to differing regulatory and legal regimes, as well as logistical challenges working across time zones.

With manufacturing facilities in the United States and India and customers in over 60 countries, the Amran/Narayan Group is a market leader in instrument transformers, providing highly technical, custom-engineered products to leading global OEMs and utilities.

Standex is a publicly traded multi-industry manufacturer with a global footprint.  The combination continues Standex’s strategy of focusing on higher-margin business segments in faster-growing markets.

The founders and leadership team of the Amran/Narayan Group will remain in place, working collaboratively with Standex to facilitate continued growth.
