RadMD, LLC is a leading Imaging Contract Research Organization providing services to the fast-growing clinical trials market and focusing on providing high-value imaging expertise services and applying cutting edge technology to reduce costs and improve efficiency in drug and device development.

Headquartered in the UK and Ireland, Medica Group PLC provides teleradiology services, outsourced interpretation and reporting of MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computerized tomography), ultrasound and plain film (x-ray) images. In addition, Medica offers retinal diagnostic screenings in Ireland and selective managed services in diagnostics to the public and private sectors. The acquisition of RadMD supports Medica Group PLC’s strategy of diversification of customer base, geographical operations, and an entry into the exciting Clinical Trials market.

The Northern Edge-advised Merger of Recovery Point Systems, Inc with an affiliate of ABRY Partners is under consideration for the following category:

  • Information Technology Deal of the Year (Over $100 million)

ABRY Partners is a sector-focused private equity investment firm in North America with extensive experience in data center, cloud, software, communications, business and information services transactions. Its domain expertise and significant capital resources are expected to assist RPS in expanding its sales and marketing capabilities and focusing on growth, including evaluating and funding complementary acquisitions.
